Nail art is hot right now, there's no denying it. Bold colors, reverse manicures, and funky patterns have been the rage all spring, but there's a new nail trend in town that might have you a little uneasy -- snakeskin. Yes, I mean actual snakeskin.

Manicurist Terri Silacci from Monterey, California, creates the look by cutting pieces of discarded snakeskin to the exact shape of each nail, and bonding it onto the nail with gel varnish. Each manicure takes about two and a half hours to finish, and can cost anywhere between $150-$300. Silacci says that the manicure lasts up to three weeks, and the pedicure up to 12 weeks.
Snakeskin handbags have been prized luxury items for years... are snakeskin nails the next big thing?
