Most women have a hard time keeping their hands steady while putting on liquid eyeliner, but not Katie Alves. The 21-year-old Canadian artist has garnered the attention of makeup artists and Disney fans alike by re-creating her favorite Disney moments – on her own eyelids.

A little more complicated than the cat-eye? Makeup artist Katie Alves recreates her favorite Disney moments on her own eyelids. |
Armed with makeup, a steady hand, and a whole lot of patience, Alves has painted such intricate and diverse scenes as the palace of Agrabah from "Aladdin" (with a mini Aladdin and Jasmine on the magic carpet), an underwater scene from "The Little Mermaid" (with a little swimming Sebastian) and the Pride Rock scene from "The Lion King" (complete with elephants and giraffes).
Unsurprisingly, easy, breezy makeup this is not: The whole process takes one to two hours, depending on the difficulty of the scene, and Alves herself doesn’t advise actually wearing the look in public. “They're quite heavy and don't look as nice with the eyes open – everything warps a bit,” she says.

But isn’t it wonderful to see what a creative person can do with time, imagination, and a little makeup?
